COMMUNITY GROUPS
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.” (Acts 2:42 ESV)
The purpose of a community groups at Grace Community Church is to provide a place where believers grow in their understanding of God’s word, their relationship with Christ, their relationships with each other and in using their spiritual gifts.
Each community group meets weekly in the homes where participants will spend time discussing the study questions from the previous weekend message. This will provide the opportunity to dwell on, process, and apply the truths that the entire church has heard as God’s word was proclaimed in our worship services.
Each community group will spend time sharing and praying for personal prayer requests to encourage one another as we follow Christ. There will also be times of fellowship during the meetings and sharing refreshments.
Community groups are limited to 12 people to ensure each person is able to participate in the discussions. Groups launch for ten to twelve week sessions in the fall, winter and spring. Once a group is launched, it will be closed until the next groups launch. Closing the groups once launched helps ensure the group dynamic will not be unstable or disrupted in the brief semester the group meets.
For more information, or to sign up for a community group, please email office@gracesv.org and include your name(s), and evening of week you can and cannot meet. Childcare will need to be arranged by the participants in the group.
